DIAL UP BEWARE!
Image Size: 1329 x 5000 So huge! MASSIVE! Or just plain big! I did this in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. I can translate this into CS3 or GIMP talk if you need me to. Just note me. This will (hopefully) be helpfull for people starting out with painting their horses. Thats why I only use a trace as an example. It's easier when you just start out. I haven't spoken too much about tools and settings, a) because I was running out of space, and b) you really just need to experiment with them. Refine your own technique. Sorry about the crappy example, I got up at six to do the smudgning and to finish the tutorial. I dreamt about it untill I couldn't sleep! Anyway, your smudgning should be MUCH better! And I spoke about future tutorials. They're just that. In the future. As in a week away before the next? I need a break from the computer! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- WOW! That took 6 hours combined. Well, technically that time included whipping up the painting to go with the tutorial. Mammoth effort. I hope people use this  !Anyhoo-as I said up there *points* I will refine my painting and sell it on EI, since a few people have expressed interest.
